At the end of June 2009 the “World Heritage Committee” has officially inscribed the Dolomites (Italy) on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
The Dolomites comprise a mountain range in the northern Italian Alps. It features some of the most beautiful mountain landscapes anywhere, with vertical walls, sheer cliffs and a high density of narrow, deep and long valleys. One of the areas included is the Mount Sciliar.
